Comic Relief has launched its Red Nose Day 2022 merch and they feature designs by LGBT+ artists.

The annual event will return to our screens on 18 March in the UK, and to celebrate they’ve teamed up with TK Maxx for a collection of t-shirts, tote bags and more.

The Red Nose Day 2022 range is now available to shop in-store and on the TK Maxx website.

They say this year’s collection “takes a turn from previous years as it features designs by artists from different disciplines, communities and backgrounds”.

This includes non-binary painter and illustrator, Ashton Attzs, whose work features distinctive characters that celebrate identity, diversity and community.

Illustrator and children’s book designer, Lizzie Knott, who depicts themes of mental health, diversity and the LGBT+ community is also one of the artists who’s created designs for Red Nose Day.

Other artists lending their talents include Gok Wan, who’s created minimalist sketches and Luke Christian, who’s designs aim to empower deaf people by showing the world there is no “right or wrong way” to be deaf.

The collection features t-shirts, tote bags and notebooks, with prices ranging from £5.99 to £14.99.

The money raised through the range will provide vital funds for Comic Relief to help vulnerable children and young people in the UK and across the globe.

To raise money for this year’s Red Nose Day, Tom Daley will tackle a four-day journey from London to Plymouth by foot, water, boat and bike.

The challenge will see the Olympic gold medalist diver, learn and master four new Team GB disciplines of rowing, marathon running, open-water swimming and cycling.

Across four days Daley will travel from the London Aquatic Centre in Stratford, where he won his first ever Olympic medal in 2012, to his hometown of Plymouth.

As well as buying merch there’s other ways you can get involved in raising money. This includes buying TK Maxx’s do-good gift card especially for Red Nose Day, with £1 of every £10 gift card going to Comic Relief.

Plus you can also donate directly to the Comic Relief website with as little as £1, which could get four meals to vulnerable children and families in the UK.
